August 18 | Free to Follow
Galatians 6 : 1 - 18
Freedom in Christ is meant to impact all of our relationships, both with those who love Jesus and those who have yet to love Jesus. While behavioral modification is not the ultimate goal, our freedom in Christ has direct implications for the way we live. This is not another set of rules, rather a freeing trajectory in life. Freedom in Christ is freedom in life.
August 11 | The Gospel is Alive
Galatians 5 : 16 - 26
Christianity is not meant to live alone. The gospel shows us to walk with the Spirit! So how do we do this? Living by Spirit is learning by doing.
August 4 | Freedom!
Galatians 5 : 1 - 15
We’ve been set free in Christ. Not only are we free from sin, but also from self-righteousness. However, there remains in us a propensity to forget our freedom and settle for less. We must stand firm in the freedom we’ve found, not falling back into using it for selfish gain. True freedom is best expressed in loving and serving others for the glory of God.
July 28 | Guest Speaker: Hugh Halter
We were very blessed to have a great friend, Hugh Halter, join us at Vintage Grace this weekend! Hugh was able to teach and share his story and approach to being a living proof of a loving God in his community.
July 21 | Children of Promise
Galatians 4 : 12 - 31
Paul calls the Galatian Christians children of promise. He challenges these Christians with a famous story from the Old Testament, using it symbolically to show them the freedom Jesus brings by trusting in the promise of God. So the question remains for us today...will we trust in the promise of God, or will we take matters into our own hands?
July 14 | Mercy
July 07 | Identity Crisis
We are adopted as sons and daughters of God by faith resulting in a new identity found in Him. If our actions stem from our desires and our desires are rooted in who we are and who we hope to be, how does our new identity as sons and daughters of God impact our way of life? The Gospel roots our identity in Christ, freeing us to follow Him by faith.
June 30 | Always Faith
Galatians 3 : 4 - 29
Paul makes clear that God’s people received their inheritance by faith alone. A faith that incorporates us in the line of Abraham, delivers from the curse of the law, provides God’s promise instead of our performance, and ultimately grants us sonship.
June 23 | The Gospel for Believers
Galatians 2 : 11 - 3 : 3
The Gospel not only saves, but gives us power for life every day.
June 16 | A Revealing Question
Mark 10 : 32 - 45
James and John ask a question that reveals they still don’t understand much about Jesus or how His kingdom works.
June 9 | Man's Gospel vs God's Gospel
Galatians 1 : 11 - 2 : 10
Approval can be a dangerous thing. Who or what we seek approval from reveals where we are looking for our worth. In Galatians, Paul addresses the seduction of approval from humanity by sharing from his own life the ways he learned to seek approval from God alone. The Gospel tells us that we are approved by God on the basis of what He did on the cross with His son Jesus, thereby freeing us from our need for approval from others. We are approved by the fact that we’ve been adopted as sons and daughters into the family of God and are free to follow him.
June 2 | The Pure Gospel
Galatians 1 : 1 - 10
You have been freed purely by the gospel and only the gospel.

May 19 | Imitation
Matthew 11 : 28 - 30
Speaker: Neal & Judy Brower
God calls us to imitators of Him in all that we do. Being love as opposed to doing loving things is the central tenet of that imitation. The Goal of our instruction is love! Let all that you do be done in love.

April 28 | Everyone Has One
Matthew 16 : 13 - 16, 17 - 20

April 21 | Jesus' Question?
Matthew 16 : 13 - 16 Everyone has a question or two for Jesus. This Easter, what is Jesus’ question for us? The answer to the question for His disciples has the potential to increase our joy today and also change our eternity--this is what Easter is all about.
April 14 | Battle Belongs to the Lord
1 Corinthians 2 : 1 - 5
The Kingdom of God is worth fighting for, but the ways of war are rooted in humility, love, and ultimately sacrifice. It’s through the power of Jesus Christ and His Crucifixion and Resurrection that we, in Him, are victorious over the enemy, our sin, and this world!
April 7 | Dry Bones
Ezekiel 37 : 1 - 14
Ezekiel’s vision shares the heart of God’s mission; which is to make people who were dead, alive in Christ. Our call as a Church it to fulfill the mission of God, breathing life into their dry bones and bring them back to Garden Living. This is what Kingdom movement is all about and what we dedicate our lives and this dirt to today!
March 31 | Investigating Jesus
John 3 : 1 - 21
What does it mean to be born again and why would it matter? Jesus spells this out for a curious pharisee named Nicodemus in the middle of the night. Faith in Jesus alone is the means by which we are born again, our lives are made new, to the end that we can now stand before God unashamed. This is the reason Jesus came to this world and the good news we bring to others as we seek to live as proof.
March 17 | TESTify
Acts 27 : 39 – 28 : 16 As believers we are called to TESTify—to literally be the living proof of a loving God. Our witness and lives serve as evidence and often is the most powerful in the trying times of our lives. God wastes nothing, and the clinging to Christ in the pain produces Kingdom Movement.
March 10 | God Is Good All The Time
Acts 27 : 1 - 38
Our Aim: To see Jesus—high and lifted up because I am convinced when we do—we find hope; which is not available in his creation but from Him as creator. Circumstances are tough, but God is good #allthetime and is with us in them so that others might see Him in us.
March 3 | A Call For All
Discipleship is a call for all who follow Jesus. Matthew 28 : 18 - 20 clearly lays this out as the mission of the people of God. When it comes to discipling the next generation, it is wise to approach discipleship in a developmentally appropriate way. Matthew 22 : 34 - 40 shows us what the content of that discipleship is meant to be, teaching people to love God and love their neighbor. Our role is to make disciples, by being the living proof of our loving God and asking the question, "What is the most loving thing to do?" as a way of guiding our actions and affections.

How wide and deep is our confidence in the gospel of Jesus Christ?

Jan 20 | Gospel Dream for EDH
Acts 19 : 1 - 41
The power of Jesus is on display in Ephesus from handkerchiefs to healings. The entire region of Asia hears the Gospel - this is our dream and prayer for EDH and every city around.
Jan 13 | Guardians of the Galaxy
Acts 18 : 1 - 23
As Christians, we’ve been called as a team, to combat the evil of this world and literally bring heaven to earth. God gives and uses each of our strengths and our weaknesses to form this beautiful collective of desperate & dependent ‘guardians of the galaxy’ for His Glory and the world’s good.
Jan 6 | Next play
Acts 17 : 16 - 34
January is the beginning of our “Next play”. If we can share in Paul’s mentality by praying, watching & stepping into 2019 prepared and ready to proclaim, then Kingdom movement will advance and darkness will be destroyed!
Gospel-Fuel for 2019
Acts 17 : 1 - 15
When Paul and Silas proclaim the Gospel of Jesus (His life, death and resurrection) in Thessalonica, the religiously-sure Jews become ticked-off and bring persecution, while many Gentiles (outsiders) are persuaded by the teaching. The relentless persecution pushes them to Berea where curious Jews receive the Gospel with eagerness.

As Paul wraps up his letter, he leaves the disciples with specific tools to help them express their faith so that the world would experience the JOY of walking with Jesus.
Better than Sweaters
As the object of our HOPE, Jesus puts us in the context of #communitas to not only protect hope, but to also provide more of it in our every day living. We do this as a team, taking off the things that distract us from Him and putting on the things that are of Him.
